On Thursday afternoon, September 11, our Residents were treated to a dance program from a unique ecumenical group of dancers from congregations including Immaculate Heart of Mary, First Unity Church of St. Louis, Our Lady of Sorrows, Salem Lutheran, St. Lucas Lutheran and Epiphany Lutheran. This local dance group goes out to various nursing facilities to entertain audiences where they have members of their congregations living.
We understand that the dancers originally came together as an exercise group at Immaculate Heart of Mary, and Judy Hudson, the instructor, turned them into dancers. Their ages ranged from 67 to 80 years. They danced to various selections and styles including the Glen Miller classic “In the Mood.” Everyone enjoyed this colorful and musical entertainment that graced the stage of our auditorium.
We owe their visit to our Residents Julia Margraff and Loretta Kunze.
