We held our 6th Annual Trivia Night and Silent Auction once again at Carondelet Hall on Hampton in St. Louis. This year’s festivities were hosted by John Tucci, a lawyer and longtime trivia buff. Beer, wine and soda as well as munchies were on hand and part of the entry fee. This year was a great success and saw continued growth with six more tables than last year (over 500 people) as we netted nearly $30,000 on the evening. Twelve Step-Up volunteers lent support to our staff workers to run all the games, sell tickets, clean off tables, deal with auction items, sell our LSP cookbook, hats and T-shirts, man the reservation tables, etc. Attendees brought their usual meals which included take-outs as well as crock pot meals cooked right on their tables before the first round of trivia questions began. Little Sisters mingled with the tables and guests and took part in the selling and festivities. This year we set a new record for in-kind items with more than $15,000 worth of gifts given to the event for our fundraising. All in all, it is always one of the nights and events that, despite all the hard work, is a lot of fun and laughter and a great friend and fundraiser for the Home.
