The long-anticipated visit of Archbishop Robert Carlson to our Home finally took place on Monday, March 28.He received a warm welcome from the Little Sisters, Residents and staff who met him at the front entrance. The Archbishop spent time meeting and speaking with each Resident who had gathered in the entrance lobby to personally greet him and thank him for coming. He celebrated an 8:30 am Mass where he thanked the Little Sisters for their long service to the St. Louis community and to the Archdiocese. He reminded us in his homily of the opportunities for growth in holiness during this season of Lent. His personal assistant and our chaplain, Fr. Jim Beegan, were concelebrants. After the liturgy the Archbishop spent time greeting and blessing many of the Residents, and welcomed photos with many of them – photos that will be deeply cherished for many years to come. It was a great occasion and a wonderful incentive to our observance of the Lenten season.
