Our chapel was the scene of the annual renewal of promises by our 17 members of the Association Jeanne Jugan. This takes place every May 1st, the feast of Saint Joseph the Worker. Members promise to live the spirit of the foundress of the Little Sisters of the Poor, Saint Jeanne Jugan, in their prayer life and in their good works, especially in their hospitality to the elderly poor. After the liturgy, a special dinner and dessert was enjoyed in the Jeanne Jugan Room with the Sisters and AJJ members. Mother Jean handed out small gift bags for each AJJ member.
Barb Prideaux is our local coordinator and Sister Josephine acts as their facilitator. The group also comes together for regular meetings to deepen their spirituality and to share their experiences in support of one another. We thank them for their dedication to the Sisters’ mission and for their example among us. Saint Jeanne Jugan, pray for us!
