It was our home team Residents against the visiting Capuchin Franciscan brothers in an exciting and entertaining volleyball game in our auditorium the day before the 4th of July (See photos). No one kept score but all had a great time, including the spectators who took in all the antics of the players.
The brothers have been visiting and volunteering at our Home every Thursday and Friday for a number of weeks. From transporting Residents to leading bingo games, they have had a great experience of being involved in the care and activities of our Residents. We look forward to their Farewell Play that they will present to the Residents at the end of this week. The past month for our Residents has been enriched by the presence of these Franciscan volunteers. We wish them all the best as they continue to pursue their vocations in the religious life.
