A short conversation two years ago with Board member Jim Martin revealed that one of his interests is singing tenor in a local a cappella group. Jim offered to bring the group to our Home to sing for our Residents. Finally on Friday, July 26th this promise was fulfilled.
Voices filled the main dining room as the seven-man group known as “Sir Round Sound” entertained our Residents with doo-wop songs from the ‘50’s, spirituals and pop standards. Root beer floats were served to all attending, and the group members stayed around to introduce themselves and mingle with our Residents. It was a great way to spend a summer Friday afternoon! Many thanks to Jim and the group for taking the time to visit and sing for us. We look forward to their next visit.
