On Monday afternoon, July 29th our Home’s Residents and staff gathered for our annual festivities in the auditorium to celebrate and recognize those staff members who are marking significant years of service to our Home this year. More than 20 Staff members were honored for their years of service with medals and plaques: from 5 years to 43 years. Ethel Maxwell was among those receiving an LSP plaque for 30 years of service (see photo).
The greatest honoree was Junior Morgan who is retiring after 43 years of service. Junior began as a male orderly in the old Home on Grand Avenue right after high school graduation. He retired from our Maintenance Department. Balloons and other decorations, a special cake, and family visitors made the celebration complete. We wish Junior all the best in his retirement. He promises not to be a stranger, and to visit us from time to time. Congratulations to all our honorees!
