Our Red Hatters group recently hosted a chili sale fundraiser at the Home with the help of Saint Louis University student volunteers. They had come the day before to help plan and prepare the chili, toppings, cupcakes, etc. for sale, and then helped serve them the next day.
Three varieties of chili were available for sale: regular, sweet (with a touch of cinnamon), and hot and spicy. This event enabled our staff to get a hot lunch without having to prepare their meal at home as usual. The event was a big hit, especially on a cold wintry day. Proceeds will be used to fund future outings for the Red Hatters group.
