Once again this year our Residents and staff came together under the guidance of Sr. Marie Catherine and the Activities Department to produce our Annual Christmas play. Special invitations were sent out to our families, friends, and health professionals who serve our Residents. It is a festive time when these guests come to our Home on a Saturday afternoon to enjoy the decorations of the Home, some tasty treats prepared by our kitchen staff, and to experience the theatrical talents of our Residents on stage in our packed auditorium.
As usual, Nate Borgsmiller from Activities wrote and directed the production entitled “The Reason for the Season.” Various Residents played the character parts including the Christmas tree, the Candle, the Star, the Candy Cane, the Christmas stocking, a Present, a Bell, and an Angel. Christmas classics were sung by all in attendance between the acts of the play. The SRO crowd thoroughly enjoyed the spiritual message and light humor of the performance. As always, it was a tremendous success and a great opportunity for all of us to embrace the true meaning and festive spirit of the Christmas season!
