Twelve Residents, two Little Sisters, and six volunteers witnessed a Cardinals victory against our division rival Pittsburgh Pirates on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at Busch Stadium in August. Tickets to the sellout game were courtesy of the Cardinals organization. The ball game was preceded by our usual Ballpark food meal of hot dogs, bratwursts, and refreshments at the home. Wheelchair compatible seats at the stadium allowed all of our Residents plenty of access and added to their fun and celebration at the game. Residents who could not go to the ballpark were glued to the TV screens around the home, hoping to catch a glimpse of those in attendance. A 9-1 Cardinal victory made the day complete as the 2010 season closes out.
