The words of our Mother, St. Jeanne Jugan, were especially evident at our recent celebration of Valentine’s Day. Pantry aide Penny Lemons chose to make it a very special dining experience for our fifth floor residents by decorating the tables with lovely red table cloths, napkins and heart-shaped placemats. Many residents commented that “it was like being at a very fancy restaurant.” With lots of heart, the residents were served a wonderful meal by our staff which included sparkling red grape juice and traditional heart-shaped boxed chocolate and sweetheart candy. It is wonderful to see that on a daily basis, not just on feast days, many hidden things are “done with love” by our staff.
