Recently a new statue of Saint Joseph was erected on our grounds as a tribute to the nearly three decades of collecting ministry that Sister Irene Marie provided for our Home. The statue was made possible by Mr. Joseph Shaughnessy, who is an Advisory Board member and chairman of BSI Constructors. His company prepared it for outdoor use and installed it. There are plans this Spring to plant flowers around it, make a path to the statue for easy access, and have a dedication ceremony.
The statue will also be a concrete reminder of the Little Sisters strong tradition of reliance on Divine Providence to provide for the Home, and the care of our needs through the intercession of Saint Joseph.
We hope that the statue will become a regular place of rest and prayer for our community and for their many visitors.
