The tradition of collecting goods for the Homes has deep roots in the earliest history of the Little Sisters, dating back to Saint Jeanne Jugan herself. It is a way that the local community can support the mission of the Little Sisters who care for the needy elderly. In St. Louis, the daily rounds began with horse and buggy in 1869. Today our begging van can be seen at Produce Row, various businesses, and at the Fire Dept, Police Dept, and City Hall each week.
